W jej piosenkach można usłyszeć przenikanie się kultury Inuitów z trendami muzyki indie. Posiada bardzo interesujący, ciepły głos, który potrafi brzmieć bardzo radośnie, ale też trochę naiwnie, czasem nawet straszy, lecz na pewno nie można odmówić artystce pomysłowości i ciut ekscentrycznego poczucia humoru.

Jednym z producentów albumu był John Parish, który udzielił się zresztą w kilku utworach na gitarze, bębnach i puzonie.

A w dwóch innych utworach "Pirate Song" i "Done Gone", Nive występuje w duecie z Howe Gelb (Giant Sand). Wśród gości są też muzycy od Toma Waitsa i The Black Keys. Warto dodać, że Nive jest autorką wszystkich piosenek!
